![]() If the SiteSucker log isn't present in the Download Folder, this menu item is dimmed. Each SiteSucker document has its own log file. This file is only created if one of the log options is set in the download settings. Opens the SiteSucker log file, which is normally stored in the Download Folder. If you hold down the option key while selecting this menu item, SiteSucker will let you choose an application with which to open the file. You can use this feature to quickly view your downloaded site in a Web browser. This is equivalent to double-clicking the file in the Finder. Opens the local file that corresponds to the address shown in the Web URL text field. Displays a dialog which allows you to save a copy of the active document with a new name, a new location, or both. Open File Open Log Open Download Folder Closes the active window. The Open RecentĤ submenu displays documents in the order in which they were opened, with the most recent item at the top. Allows you to open recently opened documents without using the Open dialog. File You can use the File menu to open or save SiteSucker documents, display the Download Settings dialog, and perform other tasks. Standard application menu items that show or hide applications. A standard submenu which provides a means for transferring selected data from one application to another for processing. If a newer version is available, this menu item lets you mount the latest SiteSucker disk image so that you can update your software. Checks the SiteSucker Web site to see if a newer version of SiteSucker is available. When you click the bookmarklet, the URL of the current page is sent to SiteSucker. ![]() Lets you install a bookmarklet into the bookmarks bar of your favorite Web browser. Many of these features can also be accessed using the toolbar. When you open the document later, you can restart the download from where it left off by pressing the Resume button.ģ Menus The menus in SiteSucker contain commands and options that allow you to control the application. If SiteSucker is in the middle of a download when you choose the Save command, SiteSucker will pause the download and save its status with the document. This allows you to create a document that you can use to perform the same download whenever you want. SiteSucker lets you save all the information about a download (including the Web URL, download settings, and queue) in a document. To download multiple sites, you can open multiple SiteSucker windows or queue up downloads within a window. See Solving Problems for more information. To download a site so that you can view it locally, set the "HTML Processing" option to Localize under the General tab in the Download Settings dialog. To change this, use the Download Folder control under the General tab in the Download Settings dialog. When files are downloaded, they are saved, by default under Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard), in the Downloads folder in the user's home directory. The status of the download appears in the lower section of the SiteSucker window. SiteSucker will download the page, scan it for any links, and download the links. Press the enter key and SiteSucker will go to work. Enter an Internet address into the Web URL text field. To get a download going, follow these steps: 1. SiteSucker can download files unmodified or it can "localize" the files it downloads, allowing you to browse a site offline.
